It takes a special
person to be a nurse. Whether it's your child's school nurse, a nurse who
takes care of a loved one, or a friend or relative who has a nurse's
career, I hope my handmade nurse gifts will find them comfort, and let

"Annie" is our little 12"
grungy, raggedy, nurse doll wearing brown bloomers, and an army green colored dress
with red stars printed on it. Her apron is made from died muslin which reads
"Hug A Nurse", and has a red cross centered on a big heart which is
appliquéd on. Her face has been hand drawn. "Annie" was made from coffee/tea
stained fabric and has been "grunged" up with
cinnamon and cloves. So she may look grungy, but she sure smells nice!!!

named after a friend who enjoyed dressing as a Civil War nurse in
reenactments across the Eastern coast of the U.S. "Betsy" is wearing
cream color panty-bloomers, a navy blue dress, a nurse's hat, and
carries a red-cross nurse's bag with her. She has a "folk" doll face

"Nurse Rebecca" WWII
Our handmade
Nurse Rebecca is made
from the original pattern of 1943. She is a replica of a WWII nurse
doll.
The doll's purpose back in the 1940's was to be a child's play toy. Now she is a
collector's item. She is made from 100 %cotton fabrics. She has a
light blue dress, a navy cape with the collar and inner cape sewn in red
fabric, and a nurses head scarf is just like the one on the original doll. She is 8" tall.
